Lily is Blue
Well I finally got my check back (uncashed unfortunately) from FatTire. It was not in the stars to be selected for the lottery this year. Lily Blue (my bike) and I are rather sad...it's such a fun race. Hopefully some of the MadFORCs will be at the race having a great time for all of us!

You'll just have to get in via the essay contest this summer! I know of several other FORCs who will be trying to get in via that method -- Berlie and Kathy for sure.
I'm pretty sad also....my uncashed check showed up at my house last Monday. I had high hopes for this years Cheq 40. Maybe break the 3 hour mark, break into the top 30, secure a preferred start spot etc. It looks like the only thing I'll be riding that weekend in the couch in Madison, WI. - Renee B.
I was lucky enough to have my check show up as cashed instead of back in my mailbox so I wish you all the best of luck in the essay contest. The more teammates I have up there, the better!!

Yes the envelope with the essay contest is still calling to me up on my bulletin board ;-) I even have in-laws who live about 45 min away so the whole weekend is just really convenient ... *sigh* ... we'll see! - Renee V
